A SYNERGISTIC ABSORPTION AND PLASMONIC EFFECT OF SiO2@Au@TiO2 IN TiO2 PHOTOANODE FOR DYE-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELLS. method for increasing the visible-light harvesting of a anatase photoanode in dye-sensitized solar cells by incorporating plasmonic nanostructures was developed. Sidoarjo mud as SiO2 source used to successfully synthesized core/multishell SiO2@Au@TiO2, with varying amounts Au (60, 90, and 120 mL). In addition, fractions paste were varied, i.e., 0.5%, 1%, 5%. The UV–Vis spectrum shows that more ripple at higher wavelengths is obtained content, suggested presence large nanoparticles; however, similar value efficiency observed all sample variations studied compared pure photoanode. incident photon-to-current reveals photoanodes containing show somewhat broader enhanced spectra photoanode, resulting from synergistic effect between silica boost absorption wavelengths.
